What will you do?
As an HTI Junior Facilitator, you play a key role in keeping the hospitality technology environment of NHL Stenden Hospitality Group running smoothly on a day-to-day basis. Your focus is on the hands-on support and operation of core hospitality applications used in both education and daily hospitality operations.
You support, manage, and monitor systems such as:
You ensure that these systems work reliably in hotels, restaurants, meeting facilities, and other learning environments. When issues occur, you act quickly, support users on the floor, and help restore operations with minimal impact on guests and students.
You actively support students during practical learning, helping them understand and correctly use hospitality systems in real-life situations. You also support colleagues and operational teams, answering questions, resolving issues, and providing clear, practical guidance. Where technology directly affects the guest journey, you help ensure a smooth and professional guest experience.
You maintain direct contact with external suppliers and support partners, such as PMS, POS, and payment providers. You coordinate incidents, follow up on support tickets, test fixes, and assist with the implementation of updates and changes.
In addition, you support testing, configuration, documentation, and continuous improvement of applications. You also contribute to new and ongoing projects, including pilots and process improvements, by setting up systems, testing solutions, and troubleshooting in practice. This role sits at the intersection of hospitality operations, education, and innovation.
Where will you be working?
You will join the Hospitality Technology & Innovations (HTI) team within NHL Stenden Hospitality Group in Leeuwarden. HTI supports multiple hospitality concepts, including a hotel, restaurants, meeting facilities, and student-run outlets, all operating as living labs.
The team works closely with education, IT, and operations. The culture is hands-on, pragmatic, and collaborative. You work in a dynamic environment where experimentation is encouraged, while continuity of daily operations is essential.

- At least a completed bachelor’s degree, preferably in IT, hospitality, facility management, or a related field.
- Administrative and operational experience with hospitality systems, such as PMS (MEWS), POS (DISH), Xafax, and guest-facing technologies.
- Understanding of how technology supports hospitality operations, education, and guest experience.
- Willingness to support new and ongoing projects within the organisation.
- Ability to work comfortably in environments where education and operations run side by side.
- Openness to learning new systems, tools, and ways of working.

- A 0.6 fte position (22.8 hours per week).
- Salary according to HBO scale 7 (compensation and benefits of NHG's secondary employment conditions), € 2950.65 - € 4.084.93 gross per month (depending on knowledge and experience), excl. 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% year-end bonus.
- A one-year contract, with the intention to continue.
- Primary workplace in Leeuwarden, with flexibility if the role requires it.
