Job description

The Faculty of Behavioral and Social Sciences of the University of Groningen is looking for a Teacher in the field of Clinical Neuropsychology. This temporary position is within the basic unit Clinical and Developmental Neuropsychology.

We expect from the candidate that he/she can provide teaching of developed and regular teaching parts, such as courses in the Bachelor's programme and in the Master tracks Klinische Neuropsychologie and Clinical Neuropsychology. Teaching within the Faculty is provided in various teaching methods, both in English and in Dutch, and in a hybrid form.

Within the basic unit of Clinical and Developmental Neuropsychology, clinically oriented research is conducted, focused on people with neurological and psychiatric conditions. The research focuses on the nature of these disorders, the effects of treatment, and the consequences of these disorders for everyday life and participation in society. In addition, the members of the basic unit teach within the bachelor's programme in Psychology and within the mastertracks Klinische Neuropsychologie and Clinical Neuropsychology.

Requirements

- a completed master's degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences, preferably in the field of clinical (neuro)psychology
- experience and interest in teaching students
- affinity with and knowledge of neuropsychology
- interest in innovative teaching methods
- good oral and writing skills in English and preferably also in Dutch, given the curriculum
- possession of the University Teaching qualification (UTQ) is recommended
- excellent social and communicative skills and ability to work in groups
- important competencies in this position are analytical capacity, environment orientation, presenting and result orientation.

Conditions of employment

Contract length: 05 months.

We offer you in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities:

- depending on qualifications and work experience, a salary of € 2,960 (salary scale 10) to a maximum of € 4,670 (salary scale 10) gross per month for a full-time position
- a holiday allowance of 8% gross annual income an 8.3% end-of-the-year allowance
- attractive secondary and market terms of employment
- the position is classified in accordance with the University Job Classification (UFO) system; the UFO profile is Teacher 4
- a temporary contract for a period of 5 months.

Intended starting date: 1st of March 2023
