Do you want to work in an international environment with international students and international colleagues? And do you have experience with planning and financial flows? For the study Creative Media & Game Technologies (CMGT) we are looking for a staff member Financial Planner.
As a planner, you are in charge of accurately entering the deployment of teachers in our own planning tool. You work closely with the Programme Managers and together you ensure a balanced deployment schedule. You collect course schedule information and check the draft schedules. Within these activities, you coordinate intensively with the Programme Managers, teachers, staff services and educational support. You also do the preparatory work for the management reports.
Changes occur frequently during the school year. You keep a close eye on these changes. Your helicopter view allows you to see what financial or organizational consequences these changes have and advise on this. You evaluate the process and make adjustments. You signal and analyze developments and translate this into proposals, work processes and procedures. You are also administratively involved in the employment process and the implementation of contract adjustments.
You have an executive and advisory role towards the Programme Managers in drawing up the budget, checking the finances and financially organizing projects. You will work closely with the Financial staff department. From your central role, you will provide solicited and unsolicited advice, you will identify problems and proactively suggest solutions. You can quickly switch between operational and tactical matters and you can separate main and side issues well.
Please note that the working language of the CMGT programme is English.
You will be working in the OBP-team of the Institute for Communication, Media & IT under the responsibility of the Manager Educational Support. In the OBP-team we work with about 25 colleagues. Our team supports and facilitates the entire operational management of the institute with respect to education and research. Each educational cluster has a separate OBP sub team that supports the cluster. This includes management support staff, planners and education support staff.
- You have at least completed a higher professional education.
- Planning, organizing and maintaining an overview in a hectic environment is second nature to you.
- You have demonstrable knowledge of financial (educational) flows.
- You have excellent digital skills and preferably have knowledge of educational systems.
- You are stress-resistant and you get energy from solving complex issues.
- You have excellent communication skills and can handle confidential data well.
- You are a discussion partner for the training managers at a tactical level and you preferably have experience in this.
- Excellent oral and written command of the English and Dutch languages.
An appointment for 0.8 FTE. Starting date is as soon as possible. - We initially offer a contract of employment for one year. An extension of the contract of employment is not excluded.
Scale 9 (min. € 3.152,- en max. € 4.582,-), in accordance with CAO-HBO. A gross monthly salary for a full-time appointment. A holiday allowance of 8% and a structural end-of-year bonus of 8.3%. A maximum of 53 days off and, in addition, you can make use of sustainable employability hours and home working facilities.
