You will be responsible for developing course material, guiding, and coaching students during their graduation projects, and conducting practical research. In this role, you will contribute to the team's results and the organization's ambitions. Examples of tasks include:
- Teaching student groups for first year subjects, both on campus and online.
- Coaching and supervision in first and second year and in the year abroad.
- Identifying and analyzing trends in the field and developing new or existing parts of study programs.
- Staying updated with the latest developments in the field.
- Organizing and evaluating study programs and advising on improvements.
- Collaborating with colleagues on joint projects and contributing to knowledge sharing within and outside the organization.
- Conducting independent applied and practice-driven research, contributing to publications, and integrating findings into education. Conducting thorough literature reviews to understand current research.
- Collecting and analyzing data using various methods.
- Assisting senior researchers in project tasks and protocols.
Your duties will partly depend on whether you want to focus more on teaching tasks or more on doing research. You will be part of a teaching team under the direction of a Head of Education.
The International Business School (IBS) offers various English-taught programs to prepare business professionals with a global mindset, ready to add value to business and society. Our vibrant community comprises over 1,500 students from around the world and over one hundred employees with relevant international experience, creating an international atmosphere. The language of communication within IBS is English.
You should demonstrate effective teaching abilities and the capacity to deliver structured lessons using diverse instructional techniques and strategies, even when faced with challenging circumstances. Moreover, you should exhibit strong teamwork skills, an open-minded approach, a sense of humor, and a genuine appreciation for cultural diversity. You must possess a keen enthusiasm for continuous learning, adaptability, and confident presentation skills.
In addition to the qualities mentioned above, we require the following:
- A completed PhD in International Business or a related field.
- Demonstrated business experience coupled with a fervent passion for both education and research endeavors.
- Prior experience in coaching, mentoring, and/or lecturing roles.
- Proficiency in the English language at least at the B2 level.

An appointment for 0.8-1.0 FTE. Starting date is as soon as possible. - A one-year contract with the possibility of extension.
Scale 11 (min. € 3.896,- en max. € 5.936,-), in accordance with CAO-HBO. A gross monthly salary for a full-time appointment. A holiday allowance of 8% and a structural end-of-year bonus of 8.3%. A maximum of 53 days off and, in addition, you can make use of sustainable employability hours and home working facilities.
