Research technician position in molecular neurobiology

Afdeling

Biomedical Sciences of Cells & Systems (BSCS)

Werkomgeving

We are looking for a research technician/bioinformatician to join our laboratory in the department of Biomedical Sciences of Cells & Systems, section Molecular Neurobiology at the University Medical Center Groningen, University of Groningen, Groningen, The Netherlands. Diseases of the central nervous system (CNS) affect millions of people globally, and there is a lack of effective drugs to effectively treat these diseases. It is our ambition to discover molecular triggers of CNS cell dysfunction, in order to identify potential therapeutic targets.

We use a wide range of epigenetic and gene activity profiling strategies, together with genomics and (increasingly) artificial intelligence approaches, to understand how cellular properties are altered and contribute to CNS disease. We are looking for a bioinformatician/data scientist for this research line.
