Making games to develop the future! Games are all around us in our daily lives and at the cutting edge of technology. In the Creative Media and Game Technologies programme (CMGT), students will work with cutting edge technologies to learn how to build the future by making games with these: learning how to deploy technologies and how they can be used to invent with. The four-year international programme focuses on students who want to dive into the broad and fast changing field of digital technology.
This international bachelor programme will start in September 2021 and is the full blown follow up of the major Game Design that we offered within the CMD programme since 2014.
For our new bachelor Creative Media & Game Technologies we are looking for a senior lecturer creative media.
As a senior lecturer you take care of teaching, organising, conducting, and assessing relevant courses and projects within the new bachelor Creative Media & Game Technologies (CMGT).
Teaching, coaching our students in classes, placements and graduation projects will make up most of your job. Depending on your profile and preferences, doing research in one of our research groups is also a possibility.
Next to your own teaching tasks, you will take the lead in the development of the programme. You will be part of the Curriculum Committee. In that role you - together with the other members - work on the development of the CMGT programme as designed in close connection with the team and students.
Next to that you are keeping a close eye and stay in touch with all organisations, research groups, people and developments both inside and outside the Hanze UAS that can give input to better the programme.
The core domain Creative Media prepares students for creative challenges and trains them to explore new options. Within the CMGT domain, we compliment traditional methods for creative problem solving with a more technological and integrated approach. The development of new hardware and software creates an ever-changing environment, which students need to learn to work with to make their vision come to life.
The main focus for the Creative Media domain is to ensure the products students work on are visualized in a manner in which the end user feels as if the product is ready to be used in their everyday life. This means the visualization of the product meets standards and observes emerging trends set by the work field while taking the needs of UX Design focus groups into account.
