Solidus is mainly geographically organized in four different Business Units. For our largest Business Unit Benelux we currently looking for a Finance Director. The Finance Director is in the driver seat to (re)define and execute the development of business reporting towards a strong control department to support the anticipated growth of the Business Unit. You will report to the Managing Director of the Business Unit and will have a dotted (functional) line to the Group Director Business Control.

What are you going to do
  • Support the largest Solidus Business Unit with a turnover of approximately €250m and with an extensive investment plan.
  • Manage, lead and develop a team of 5 FTE.
  • Together with the Business Unit management team develop and implement the BU strategy.
  • Member of the BU management team (5 persons).
  • Direct and optimize all controlling activities for the Business Unit including but not limited to provide full insight and analysis on e.g. sales, production and supply chain.
  • Ensure timely, adequate and reliable mid-month / monthly financial closing process and analysis to support the business.
  • Actively manage the budget and forecasting process within the Business Unit.
  • Prepare comprehensive budget reports to BU Management team and Group.
  • Actively supervise and manage key staff and to monitor functioning and performance of control organization.
  • Responsible for all financial planning and analysis for the BU.
  • External and internal point of contact for stakeholders and advisors.
  • Advise BU management on financial matters regarding investments and divestments.
  • Responsible for managing and improve the working capital of the Business Unit.
  • Provide controlling and accounting support and advice/guidance towards the controllers within the BU.
  • Continuously improve the control process of the business.
  • Manage and improve the interface with the Group shared service center which is executing the accounting activities for the Business Unit.

Our expectations
  • Relevant Bachelor/ Masters’ degree (e.g. Business Administration, Finance, Accounting & Control).
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in financial & business control in a production environment.
  • Proven track record as Head of Controlling, Manager Controlling or Manager FP&A.
  • Preferably experience in a highly competitive, international manufacturing organization.
  • Able to genuinely connect with and coach people.
  • Self-starter who is passionate about his/her work and has a ‘can do’ and hands on mentality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
