Who are we looking for 
Our ideal candidate 

  • Is accurate, methodical, enthusiastic, flexible, and adaptable in arranging teaching practice  placements at international schools for ITESS students.  

  • Has excellent communicative skills in oral and written English in formal and less formal settings.  

  • Has organisational, planning and marketing skills. 

  • Shows a flair for good timing, persuasive tactfulness, and friendly persistence in initiating and 
    maintaining contacts with external partners.  

  • Brings work experience in general communication systems like Sharepoint and particularly in 
    digital systems for Customer Relationship Management (CRM). 

  • Enjoys work in an intercultural environment and is aware of cultural diversity and the  
    sensitivities of various ITESS students, ITESS team members and of leaders and teachers at 
    international schools 

  • Has a sustained sense of order, signals expected complications, stays clear-headed and friendly in complex situations, and shows creativity in finding appropriate solutions.  

Where will you be working 

ITESS is a new, small but expanding international community, located on a relatively small campus in Groningen, the Netherlands, a lively, old student town. ITESS students have a variety of national, cultural and educational backgrounds. The new colleague shows a continuous desire to grow and learn as part of a friendly, dedicated and increasingly international team of higher education professionals. ITESS cooperates closely with ITEPS (primary schools) in Meppel. ITESS and ITEPS share a network of international schools for teaching practice places. They work in the same CRM system. There is an overall coordinator of internships for ITESS and ITEPS.  

What will you be doing 

Your core task will be to (help) maintain and extend the world-wide network of international schools, to collect, order and process information, to assess its accuracy and usefulness, to keep the CRM system up-to-date, to facilitate the matching process between students and schools, and generally to communicate clearly and efficiently with schools, students and the overall Teaching Practice coordinator. You will provide management information, prepare and contribute to decision making in the ITESS team and to strategic policy development for ITESS’ cooperation with international schools and their organisations.  

Applicant profile 

  • Excellent command of oral and written English at native speaker or C1 level.  

  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of relationship processes with customers / external partners  

  • Insight and practical experience in matching processes between individuals (students) and organisations (schools)  

  • Practical administrative skills including work with CRM systems 

  • Affinity with (higher) education and young adults  

We offer 

The salary, depending on age and experience, is maximum € 2.995,17 (scale 7 cao hbo) gross per month for a full-time job, excluding 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% year-end bonus. A one-year contract will initially be offered.
