Lecturer Researcher Digital Marketing

Who are we looking for
We are looking for a new colleague with teaching qualifications, who is familiar with Design Based Education and Learning (or is willing to obtain training/certification in these areas). Furthermore, someone who would like to develop him/herself as an atelier* facilitator and coach and who has a master's degree in related disciplines (Digitial Marketing, Data management, Brand & Reputation Management etc). Preference will be given to candidates who have both academic experience (teaching at the university level including curriculum development and course design) as well as professional experience in (international) business or communication field.

• Atelier sessions consist of 25 students. As a atelier facilitator you are process observer and facilitator who supports and makes learner-oriented interventions, focusing on the group process (trilateral process between Student, Industry Partner & the Education Institute). In this role you facilitate students/learners who work on real (design) challenges from the industry, using design thinking process in an iterative manner. You will be guiding the group in reaching learning outcomes by means of working on design challenges and professional assignments.

Where will you be working
NHL Stenden Hotel Management School is an international institute with approximately 2500 students and over 115 employees. The academy offers 'real world', internationally oriented educational programmes, designed to prepare students for operational and management positions in the hospitality industry, and other service-related companies. NHL Stenden HMS programmes are delivered at national and international branch campuses.

What will you be doing:

• Coaching students from selection until graduation.
• Facilitating sessions in Design Based Education.
• Conducting workshops and expert sessions on a range of (Digital) Marketing.
• Develop, execute and assess education to reflect current trends and advancements in the field.
• Implementing new developments in Digital Marketing by looking at crossovers in Data Analytics, Online Reputation Management and Consumer Psychology.
• Collaborating with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
• Supervising graduation products.

• Innovative Teaching Methods, Course Design & Development: Experience with innovative teaching methods & technologies, proficiency in designing & developing course materials and assessments.

Additionally:

• Depending on your knowledge and experience, the salary is a maximum of €6.114,87 (scale 11 Collective Labour Agreement for higher professional education) gross per month for a full-time position, excluding 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% end-of-year bonus.
• The initial term of your employment contract will be one year, with an expectation of renewal.
• Your normal place of work is in Leeuwarden, but you must be willing to travel if the job requires it.

Start date: 1st November 2024, at the latest (ability to start earlier will be an added advantage).
