Manager Accounts Receivable

What you will do

As our new Manager Accounts Receivable, you will lead a team that reaches out to customers to collect outstanding payments for items sold via the Catawiki Platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • oversee the global Accounts Receivable function and ensure accurate and timely processing of customer accounts;

  • supervise, grow and coach the existing team and enhance their performance, quality and productivity;

  • manage and direct the monthly close of accounts receivable (including aging) to ensure information is complete, accurate and reported in a timely manner;

  • create insights / intelligence to optimize accounts receivable data and processes;

  • build productivity measurements and drive performance through consistent KPI’s;

  • ensure product organization is informed of debtor characteristics for uncollected amounts so that they can develop enhanced fraud detection and better products;

  • manage relation with and improve performance of external debt collection agencies;

  • ensure compliance with all national and EU debt collection procedures and requirements.

Who you are

The new Manager Accounts Receivable has:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher (or equivalent);

  • Around 6 till 8 years of relevant work experience in the field of Accounts Receivable / Debt Collection;

  • At least 2 years experience successfully managing a team of debt collection agents in a technology environment;

  • Demonstrated ability to work across teams especially finance, sales and CS;

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills - proficient in English and Dutch;

  • Innovative - willing to be “scrappy” in achieving results;

  • Result and data driven, strong process management skills;

  • Knowledge of legal requirements for collections in an international European environment;

  • Balance collection processes with customer satisfaction to maintain marketplace reputation.
